Our mission and vision are inseparable from the public identity of Divadelní soubor Peripetie, o.s., registration number ICO: 01302990. We exist to connect artistic practice with education, civic trust, and cultural enrichment in the Czech Republic.

Our mission

To make theatrical arts a shared human language.

The mission of Divadelní soubor Peripetie, o.s. is to make theatrical arts accessible to community members of different ages, backgrounds, and levels of experience. We support local creative talent by offering opportunities to rehearse, perform, study dramatic expression, participate in cultural events, and discover the responsibilities that come with public performance.

We believe drama education develops confidence, concentration, speech, empathy, listening, teamwork, and imaginative courage. Through youth acting masterclasses, workshop formats, and performance preparation, the association helps participants understand theatre not only as a finished production, but also as a process of disciplined exploration.

Our mission is also civic: to unite communities through powerful storytelling. When a community gathers in front of a stage, it rehearses attention, compassion, memory, humor, and shared meaning.

Our vision is a vibrant and expressive Czech society in which theatre remains close to everyday people. We envision communities where artists, learners, families, and audiences regard stage work as a meaningful cultural practice that strengthens language, emotion, historical awareness, cooperation, and belonging.

Divadelní soubor Peripetie, o.s. seeks a future in which local cultural associations are recognized as essential institutions: modest in resources, rich in commitment, and capable of transforming ordinary places into spaces of imagination and dialogue.

Access for audiences and participants

We work to lower social and practical barriers to cultural participation by welcoming learners, volunteers, families, and local supporters into meaningful theatre activity.

Development of local creative talent

Actors and collaborators are encouraged to grow through rehearsal discipline, constructive feedback, public performance, and repeated experience before real audiences.

Cultural education with public benefit

Drama workshops and storytelling activities are organized as community education, helping people practice speech, confidence, imagination, cooperation, and cultural literacy.
