The programmes of Divadelní soubor Peripetie, o.s. connect performance, education, heritage, and community collaboration. Each initiative is designed to be artistically serious, socially useful, and clearly aligned with our non-profit purpose.

Program 1

Theatrical productions and community stage performances

The ensemble prepares non-profit productions that bring actors, volunteers, and audiences into a shared dramatic experience. Production work includes script interpretation, rehearsal planning, character study, staging, movement, costume and prop coordination, audience communication, and the practical organization necessary for respectful public presentation. These performances are designed to enrich cultural life while giving local talent a visible, disciplined, and welcoming stage.

Program 2

Drama education and youth acting masterclasses

Our educational activity introduces young people and emerging performers to the foundations of stage presence. Masterclasses can include voice, articulation, body awareness, improvisation, listening, ensemble trust, emotion, text analysis, and the ethical responsibilities of performance. The goal is to help participants develop confidence and cultural literacy while respecting individual pace, safety, and dignity.

Program 3

Cultural heritage and public storytelling workshops

The association treats storytelling as a form of cultural memory. Workshops may explore personal narratives, local history, Czech cultural references, intergenerational communication, and the craft of transforming lived experience into performable material. These activities help communities preserve voice, humor, memory, and identity through accessible theatrical methods.

Program 4

Collaborative community arts projects in the Czech Republic

Peripetie seeks cooperation with local cultural bodies, educators, venues, civic partners, and community groups. Collaborative projects may include public readings, small-format performances, seasonal cultural events, open rehearsals, thematic workshops, and partnerships that bring theatre to people who may not otherwise participate. Every collaboration is approached with care, transparency, and respect for the non-profit purpose of the association.

Every activity is accountable to the association’s cultural purpose.

Peripetie’s programming is not built around spectacle alone. It is built around preparation, dialogue, responsible public communication, and the belief that theatre can strengthen personal confidence and community cohesion.
